Your maternity wardrobe will be dictated by your budget for clothing and your need. If you are working through your pregnancy, a selection of slacks and complementary blouses, with a couple of light jackets might be nice. I would go for separates more than dresses, because you can create a lot more wardrobe with mix and match.
BUT, you said dresses. Check out the maternity departments of the stores where you usually shop, and I'll bet you won't find much. You will most likely need to find a boutique that caters to expectant ladies. ZULILY is an online store that has great clothes; you might want to check it out!!
