Will I Live to see 80?
Here's something to think about.
I recently picked a new primary care doctor. After two visits and exhaustive Lab tests, he said I was doing 'fairly well' for my age. (I just turned 60.)
A little concerned about that comment, I couldn't resist asking him, 'Do you think I'll live to be 80?'
He asked, 'Do you smoke tobacco, or drink beer or wine?'
'Oh no,' I replied.. 'I'm not doing drugs, either!'
Then he asked, 'Do you eat rib-eye steaks and barbecued ribs?
'I said, 'Not much... my former doctor said that all red meat is very unhealthy!'
'Do you spend a lot of time in the sun, like playing golf, sailing, hiking, or bicycling?'
'No, I don't,' I said.
He asked, 'Do you gamble, drive fast cars, or have a lot of sex?'
'No,' I said.
He looked at me and said,... 'Then, why do you even CARE?

LOL. I don't get it, but it's funny.
she does not do anything with her life,so why does she want to live,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

Both of my parents lived to be 82 and 84, my grandmother died at 105. My life will be cut short because of diabetes (darn! and I hate taking shots!)

jh, don't be so quick to think your life is shortened, b/c I took care of old people that were on insulin and lived to be in their upper 80s .My own life expectancy was sequed(sp) ? b/c of my history of endometrial cancer 7yrs ago.

I Did not get where i am today by haveing sex,and fast cars,it might have help though,

Do not have sex in a fast car, wait until the car is stopped or you will certainly shorten your life.

I'm tired of dying at 80 or 90. So I have decided to stay here a lot longer and I'm glad to see the medical industry so willing to step-up to the un-dying challenge as they break down the doors of death. If you feel like hanging in there with me, you're welcome to join the party. 80 is just a number as is 160...think big and go far beyond the records. 200 sounds interesting if I can look, feel and think young at that age and beyond.
