We have "nuisance bears" in some parts of Canada which are often thought of as "cute" by people who live elsewhere in the world.

Roo's can be very dangerous Duck, a roo has 3 toes, and the middle toe is quite long, and when they strike, they lean back on their tail and strike with their feet, that middle toe can open you up from the chest to the waist,,Most photo's you see are of a wallaby,a much smaller version of a Roo,,most Big Red Roo's,are found out west, rarely seen by city people,,when they fully stand..they measure upwards of 7 or 8 feet.................

My point as well. Our bears can also be dangerous and are not cute, cuddly pets.

Australia has always been a place I wanted to go to!  Doubt if I will make it, but it seems fantastic to me!  It's on the bucket list but finances will probably not permit!  Lucky you Aussies!
