why year 3142??  That's like 1,128 years in the future, why the odd number?? Curious.

I would think that 1100 years in the future we could not even speculate.

Like asking a person from 886 AD what it would be like in 2014.  They couldn't even imagine. Even a ballpoint pen would be beyond their imagination.   But its fun to try and imagine. I do that sometimes-- 'I wonder what it will be like in a thousand years?"  But I can't..  :(

veysley - no not so sure Julie if we will be here who knows. I certainly know this body will not last that long - so sure of this - little life span left. However, there are parts of technology I would like to see gone - only know about the obvious technology - that being communication - this being 70% of body language needed in many areas of society. Why so much time is spent by married people  talking to each other on cell phones - even family life. Not sure how the youth are going to manage their lifes - so important to develop empathy, sympathy, thoughts, and general human feelings through face to face interactions. The lack of these interactions are so very much affected in all sorts of areas. Just a little of what I am trying to say.

i think it will be fabulous, if we humans are still here.  Life expectancy will be doubled. There will be a whole set of new problems.  (You know how we humans love problems. They keep us busy and entertained. Things will be going on that we cannot even imagine today. We'll probably be using more telepathy than we do now.  Might be partying with the ufo's.  or we might be hiding from them so they won't eat us. One can only imagine.
