Readings between 160/110 and 180/110 usually indicate STAGE 2 HYPERTENSION, which puts you at high risk for life-threatening problems such as heart attack and stroke.
For a BP 200/140: Readings above 180 systolic pressure (the upper number) or above 110 diastolic pressure (the lower number usually indicate a hypertensive crisis -- putting you in the highest risk category for heart attack, stroke, and other acute life-threatening problems -- and requiring emergency care.
If this is your BP at present (180/144), go to the ER now.

YES..way too high..the most worrying is the bottom figure,,,ie the diastolic when ur heart is resting..or should be..see your Dr.Immediately...cut drinking,smoking and opt for a low fat diet!..Risk f stroke is high!..G,P. Is likely to give you anti-hypertensives and possibly statins to help...but you have to be prepared to work at it too...exercise helps..check amount with dr first!...Headaches and nosebleeds are both warning signs of danger!
