If you were president, what would you do about Putin (Russia) situation?

I would give the Ukraine back the Bush era missile defense plan that Obama took away from them along with the weapons to defend themselves with that Bush gave them. Romney warned that by taking these defenses away from the Ukraine that it would open them up to being taken over by Russia because Russia has missiles and they do not. Do you remember Obama responding to Romney on that and telling him, the 70's called and wants their cold war back? John McCain and Lindsey Graham among others spoke of re-instituting missile defense (radar) in the Ukraine, specifically the Crimea region. The plans were being made and Obama stepped in and canceled them much to the delight of Russia. As president, I would do the exact opposite of what Obama has done concerning removing a country's defenses just because the USA gave them to the country once upon a time. I would help the people defend themselves from the bully of Russia. I would also respect the wishes of the people if they vote overwhelmingly to become part of Russia. The only thing I agree with is imposing sanctions but I doubt Putin even cares about the sanctions.

colleen this is one time we agree on a political point.

I don't think you can do much. Sanctions are being put in place. Putin thinks the West are just idiots.  All I can say is "What goes around -- Comes around"  in the perfect world.  Many countries have no respect for their own people! Russia is only one of them!
