    Danny's killer has been convicted.

    After 10 long years the killer of Daniel Morcombe has just been convicted for the abduction,rape & murder of 13 year old danny.This momentous news for us Queenslanders.I don't think there is a dry eye in Qld at the moment.Even the 7 news presenter,Kay McGrath,a veteran of 30 years was crying.Now for the sentencing...


    (Go Bruce & Denise Morcombe.Closure at last)

    Hi Julie,That's me with the baby (My youngest daughter on my lap).The little boy is a nephew.The photo was snapped 40 years ago.

          Sentencing is today.I expect his sentence to carry a reccommendation "NEVER TO BE RELEASED".We can only hope!

          I hate to say it but I am a believer in capital punishment for vermin such as the type in this case...the worst of sins. On the 'up' side....he will have a lousy quality of life ever onward....the rat!

          He got life.With a minimum of 20 yrs before he can apply for bail.It's not enough! Lets hope life means life.On the upside he will spend it in solitary confinement for his own protection.Pity they have to protect that sort of scum.If you have time Lindy,go to the Daniel Morcombe foundation on FB & leave a little message for Bruce & Denise.They will appreciate it.

            After the verdict the convicted's criminal record is read out before the sentencing.It's not the first time he has molested a little boy.It's the third! The question?? WHY WAS HE ON THE STREETS ANYWAY?? He should have been locked up for keeps years ago!

              Just finished reading what WIKIPEDIA has about Daniel and it is heartbreaking.  The big "If only" list....if only the bus hadn't broken down, if only the relief bus had stopped for the little boy...   
              WIKI reports the murderer was arrested in August, 2011, and confessed to Daniel's murder. It seems a pity the trial didn't take place until just recently, and the murderer pleaded "not guilty".  
              I feel so much compassion for Daniel's parents; their son would have been graduating from high school soon.  No punishment can lessen the loss, but there must be some consolation with "closure" (such as it is) at hand.

                We are all wearing something red today.Danny was wearing a red T shirt the day he disappeared.It has become the symbol of The Daniel Morcombe Foundation.The organization formed by Danny's parents for the protection of kid's.
                BTW.Busses in this entire country can no longer drive past any child standing at a bus stop no matter what the circumstances.This was just one of the initiatives created by the Morcombe family.Fantastic people!

                Should have never happened. The Morcombes are obviously an example in strength for everyone. I've said it before, I can't think of anything more devastating than losing a child.
