What brought all this on suddenly ? The fighting in Ukraine is just a civil war. I hope the U.S. doesn't get involved in it.We're already fighting in Libya and Syria. Make love, not war.

Remove religious power. Most wars are fought in the name of one religion or another. It's been happening since Christianity came into being and began assaulting all other known and settled religions. The world got them settled, now it's the Islamic faith's turn.
Colleen as always you are so right for the main - there are other factors too though? This thing called religion has created more trouble than enough with it's power and control over others - quite amazing what people will do to achieve this.
Sure, there's other factors. Control over resources in another land or reclaiming land that was lost in a previews war. It's still all about power, control and money and still based in religious view points, especially the "my God is better than your God so he will let me win", belief. :P
yeah - all this too and as said before "history is not self correcting it will catch up with itself".
The ones that persecute others in the name of Christianity aren't really Christians.They're pseudo Christians.
Yeah, I've heard that argument before. To them, they were true Christians and they were fighting for Christ as his soldiers and wiping out infidels, yes that word WAS used in the old bibles. It was a different time back then with different ideals. Like it or not, they are the Christian ancestors so to speak to today's Christians. Those are the Christians I was speaking of in my initial comment.
