There should be a Samsung telephone number or website you can visit to get help with your problem.
As a pensioner, you are old enough to realize that the cost of repair before you muck with it are probably much less than AFTER you attempt a do-it-yourself. Think about it.

Thats not an answer to my problem its a critisism.I know you mean well but im after the solution as this is what this page is for.Im a hoping some one as an answer to the tv prob if i know the nature of the problem i can fix it best wishes to you thanks for the advice but i would like to make the repair myself Funds are a bit streched at the moment having recently paid funeral costs for my wife.Ill keep trying thanks again for repling Brian have a nice day

Unfortunately Brian, we do not have TV repair people here. Everyone is a volunteer and are allowed their opinions. I agree however the answer was of no help but it is her opinion. I gave you a link in another one of your answers that hopefully will be more helpful.
