We have a 32" JVC TV that will not go off without shuting it down twice. I press the power button off and it shuts down for a few seconds, then right back on. I press it the second time and it shuts down completely. Is the remote bad or what can i do to shut it off the first time?

I recommend taking off the back of the TV and look at the capacitors. Type capacitors into a google search and see what they look like. If they are blown(Or bulging) this might be your problem. You can buy new ones for cheap and solder it back onto the board.

Hi good advice the capacitor is on the boards as you look inside. If you locate the leaking electrolyte from the capasitor ues a soldering iron at the back of the leaky capacitor melt the dolder remove the faulty cap replace with new cap by pushing the two long wires at the back of ths cap solder into place then cut long wire of the capacitater so theres no danger of shorting out the board. Good luck i hopr it solves your prob Brian.
