All the answers given are usually getting a tutor. I got a friend of my mom to help me over the weekend. I hope it works because he doesnt work so fast.

study and get a tutor. that's what i did with statistics.  I worked with a fellow student everyday and my teacher once a week.  i just couldn't get it. & when i did it was suddenly easy then i tutored other students in statistics once i got the concepts.

wish I would have had a tutor in 9th grade algebra. My teacher wasn't teaching us anything. He was just solving problems on the board, without any explanation.

Ask your teacher for copies of previous test, they will show you what YOU DO KNOW and will emphasize where you need the most help: A win win situation…….

I'm working on the atm too, ......to get money out of it.

    Study,study,study.

Maybe a tutor will help. Just don't use Lou! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xkbQDEXJy2k

At this time of the year I'll ask when did you start this class?  Have you passed any previous tests?  When did you discover you were "left behind"?

Until now I have had very unclear and fast working math teachers. Already last year I started having big problems and I tried to keep up but I never got to a point again where I really understood anything. I have copied the results of my neighbours in the tests otherwise I wouldve probably had bad marks. And yes I feel ashamed.

Get a tutor that knows how to teach. Some teachers don't have teaching skills . Our algebra teacher never taught us anything. He only wrote problems on the board. And the next day, he had us kids write the homework problems on the board. Boy!....was that embarrassing. My brother had trouble with his class too.

Math is easy when you study the meaning of the terms used and see their relationship in a series of equations, notations and expressions. The complexity of math seems difficult if you don't understand the meaning and relationships of the expressions. The answer is what comes after the = (equal sign) usually. Many people do better at math if they learn to juggle 3 or more balls at a time. In that, you are training your mind to open into this 3-demensional reality and by this take math and objective reality into a clearer understanding...so learn to juggle.

It is impossible to study maths properly by just reading and listening. To study maths you have to roll up your sleeves and actually solve some problems.  The more you practice answering maths problems, the better.

By taking some good home tuition. I did that by taking tuition online from a website My Tutor Source. It was very convenient to me and pretty cheap as well.

Have a look at it. :)
