    A mine in California was the winter home to millions of Daddy long-legs. Quite a surprise to see so many up close and personal. Dark-damp places mostly.

    Anywhere damp and cosy, in cupboards, in the garage, under your bed.

    uh, long "lags" 

    Daddy Longlegs--  We always found them under logs, rocks. Mostly damp warm areas.  Harmless but they can bite but not dangerous or painful, chances are you could be bitten and not even know it.


    Their legs are very fragile, they break off easily so the spider can escape when it needs to.  I always heard that they regenerate lost legs like a salamander but I think this is a myth. not true.
