What a koinky dink for me too! I also happen to know a couple who got together via akaQA and Skype.
Are you able to see the person you Skype with. For the first couple of months I was able to see them but not now. We're scrambling to try and fix Skype so we can work it right.

I can pick or choose if I want to see them, just speak to them, or just type to them S, it's pretty simple from my end.
I actually know two couples that met via the internet and Skype and both of those couples are blissfully in love.... Le' Sigh.

I'm guessing that it was about 8-10 years ago and I wondered how anyone could learn all that was required to operate such a "machine" and what an amazing amount of information was available, if I could just learn to do that! :)
P.S. Never been in a chat room. I am more of a researcher/reader, similar to my love of libraries.
