Hey lil bro, gimme a high five.

Hey lil sis, give me a kiss.

and say, " Who wants ice cream ? ! "

You greet them with “Hello, funny face” instead “brat”………..

    Or say, Hi, Pumpkin

You could say..."Hello my darling and most precious sibling"!

Say Hi little bro. Or say Hi , little buddy.   Or to a sister, Say, Hi Sissy.

Good morning, ____________ insert their name, I love you....  (believe it or not, that's what my 3 and 4.5 yr old grandchildren do, most mornings)

Bend down to his or her level. Touch them softly on the shoulder or cheek and whisper, "You are my soft, warm, sweet, velvet pootie face." (I said this to our kids)

Get on their level and extend your hand for shaking and say, "How do you do. How do you do, Andy Gump? How is Chester? How is Min? How's the whisker on your chin. And then reach out and pretend to pull a whisker from their chin. (I said this to the preschool kids. They always laughed) I learned this my my wonderful Grandma Lyon.
