I absolutely know what you mean. I've been dancing', singing' It's the new year. I love your list. Wasn't it difficult to TRY and find your ten favorite.... makes ya crazy( in a good way. )
    Tommyh

It's a long way to the shop if you wanna sausage roll.LOL

    Everything that Neil Diamond sings.

    Everything that Celine Dion sings.

Just about everything that John Farnham sings.

& Just about everything that Ray Charles sings.

OK so that's more like about Ten Thousand songs but you get my drift. :)

    itsmee

I was on my way to fix it up ... smile I was looking it up and realized the right word.
    Tommyh

    You mean "Cracklin' Rose" ??
    itsmee

I had played "CRACKLIN' ROSIE' and my husband said, "Look up Suzanne by Neil Diamond" I looked. He did it. Leonard Cohen wrote it and the rights were stolen from him. Too bad for him.
NOT by Neil Diamond. Now I'm on way to listen to Suzanne by Neil Diamond. The ability to get any old song is just incredibly good.
    Tommyh

That is a lovely song (Suzanne takes you down by the river).Look up "Songs of Life" while you're at it.On the "Jazz Singer" Album.
    itsmee

    Beautiful. He's good.

You said to list ten. These are the songs I listen to most.

     2. You Know I'm No Good  &  You Sent Me Flying >  Amy Winehouse

     3. At Last  >  Etta James

    10. Inside My Love  >  Minnie Riperton

OOPS! I think I slipped in five extra songs.

    itsmee

For 5 extra songs you get 5 extra points. I know you love music, chelleanne. Meeee too. : )

Now that you’ve put me on the spot, I can’t think of a single one of them……...

    itsmee

When anyone asks me what my favorite song and group is I always go blank. I say "The Beatles" I don't even really like the Beatles. It took me while to figure out just what I love. I'm going to make many lists and carry my lap top around with me while I do housework & cooking.
    Tommyh

    Yep...that's the way it happens.LOL

    if love is a crime

    i need a girl

    itsmee

Good Start ... Do you know who does those songs?

What A Wonderful World (Ray Charles or Izzy's w/Somewhere Over the Rainbow)
And the Grass Won't Pay No Mind (Neil Diamond)

Somewhere In The Night (Barry Manilow)
For The Longest Time (Billy Joel)
You Shook Me All Night Long (ACDC)
    O Holy Night
Carol of the Bells (Trans Siberian Orchestra)
Annie's Song, and just about anything John Denver
Midnight Train to Georgia (Gladys Knight)
A Lionel Richie song, but I can't remember the name of it...about two people who just can't get along but love each other.
These are just songs I always love to hear; a true top ten would be impossible for me, too.

    itsmee

You Shook Me ... AC/DC --- We all like them.
I couldn't find Iz with Somewhere Over the Rainbow.
Oh Holy Night ... Stevie Nix?
I'm starting lists of ten. I put them on my desk top so they're ready for me at any time. I couldn't find my true top ten either. : )
    Bob/PKB

Thanks, itsmee; seldom do I know WHO recorded songs that I like. Just watching some of the NYE rock thing was an ear opener!!
O Holy Night could be just about any recording. It is such a beautiful Christmas carol. Mannheim Steamroller has a nice version, but I like the lyrics so much and prefer it done as a hymn.
Lists of ten! Can't wait to see what's next!
