Are Judges trained or take any classes on Domestic Violence in Illinois?
This is just a summary and there is so much more. Since order of protection are handed out to virtually anyone who applies and you are not able to expunge a civil order of protection in Illinois are Judges trained in domestic violence? Order of protections used as a preemptive tactic by unethical lawyers and abusers themselves to gain the upper hand in divorce, taking away the rights to your property, vehicles etc. Also here in Illinois when married it is legal under the law for a spouse (abusers it mostly about control) to take away your vehicle, cut you off banks accounts, etc. as long as it is done before the filing of divorce. Then after filing using the order of protection as a bargaining chip to get exclusive rights to the home, vehicles, etc., during divorce. As it seems to me that the catch all law (domestic violence act) makes everything and everybody a potential abuser. So if Judges are not trained (domestic violence is not always apparent like a bruise it is also economic abuse, emotional abuse, financial abuse, and psychological abuse). in domestic violence why not?

We are a general question and answer forum. The members here are all volunteers and of no specific specialty. I do not believe we have any members who know or can give legal advice for any state in the USA. Your best course of action for getting an answer is to contact your State's Attorney General. He/she is the person who would hear your issues and address them.
