Yes, they communicate with each other by their body language, and making little sounds. Sometimes they hiss and swipe at each other and bare their teeth and lay their ears back.......but don't get into a big fight. It's bluffing. Sometimes, after one comes in , the other will smell his breath and his rear, to see where he's been and to see if he smells like food. If he does, then they follow him the next time to the house where cat food is laid out.

Obviously there's something going on!   I think ALL animals are able to communicate.  My two cats never had a good word to say to each other!  :0

Yes my two certainly do , my boy cat goes out during the evening, and when he returns my little girl cat sniffs him licks his face,then stares at him then smacks him, as if to say where have you been dirty boy.

Well my two "Kittens" Certainly did on Christmas day!!:-Z..Oh dear..enuf said...(I`m going to be a Grandma in March)!!!

Elder cats can communicate to the humans like the word meow but they dont say to their kittens.
