The Ortho Tree and Shrub Sprayette has a fixed mixing jet set to a 24:1 ratio. 5.3 ounces of spray concentrate in the jar will mix to produce 1 gallon of diluted spray. The jar has a capacity of 42.7 ounces, so you can spray up to 8 gallons with 1 filling. If you look at the side of the jar, you will see two filling scales. On the left is the diluted spray capacity, and on the right is the concentrate scale. So you will see 8 gallons opposite 32 ounces, for instance.
You must dilute concentrates to the 24:1 mixing concentration. So if your concentrate says 1 ounce/gallon, and you want to spray 6 gallons, put in 6 ounces and add water to the jar to the 32 ounce level.
