Get moving and the more exercise, the better. Walk, jog, run, ride a bicycle, work out, clean your home, sort a drawer, tidy the garage....anything that takes physical effort. DO NOT sit back and rest, nor take it easy, nor have a nap...that will make you lethargic, causing stress and tension to build. In addition, stay away from any substance that is mood-altering....alcohol, caffeine, drugs. Getting rid of stress takes physical effort along with the ability to say "no", if you receive too many demands on your time. Good luck!

When Stress and Anxiety have me glued to my chair and staring at the wall I tell myself this: MOVE MOVE MOVE MOVE! I get up and then it's one foot in front of the other. I don't stop. I just keep on. Pretty soon I'm into it and feel ok. A few days ago I had a cold coming and it was double hard for me to move. I had a couple of days when I just did nothing. Sometimes I can't tell if I'm having a breakdown or getting a cold. I haven't broken down yet. : ) Oh, but sometimes it feels like it.
I have Anxiety Disorder and sometimes I take Xanax. Hope you're feeling ok. Medicine is not the Devil.
