John chapter 7, where "they brought a woman caught in the act of adultry" in early manuscripts of the Bible?

In the modern Bible, John Ch. 7, a woman is brought before Jesus indicating she was caught in the act of adultery, is this story found in earliest manuscripts of the Bible?

Without access to early versions of the Bible this is difficult to answer but religion has always treated women badly, for instance why was the man involved in adultery not subject to the same punishment as the woman?

In Mosaic Law there are several references to the supposed inferiority of women, see Exodus 21:15,Numbers 5:11-31, and Leviticus 12:1-5 when a woman is considered ritually unclean following childbirth for 7 days if the infant was male but 14 days if it female.

And in the Qu'ran, Sura 4:34 states ' Men have authority over women because God has made the one superior to the other and because they spend their wealth to maintain them. Good women are obedient. They guard their unseen parts because God has guarded them. As for those from whom you fear disobedience, admonish them, forsake them in beds apart, and beat them. Then if they obey you , take no further action agsinst them.'
