"The Best". My sole surviving aunt (83) was the hostess, and her younger daughter did all the cooking (what didn't get pre-ordered). Two of my sons (plus the G/F and her daughter), my aunt's older daughter, son, and his father. A small group, which made conversation with everyone possible! The food was delicious and hot food was hot! We sat outside because it was warm enough and the TV outside had the football game(s) on, though no one was paying much attention. There was a backgammon marathon that went til 10:00 P.M. (I won 2/3 games I played). Someone found a Nerf football to toss around a little. Laughter and Love. Much for us to be thankful.

I'd like to mark it as the "Best Answer" but the cellphone answer takes the cake...uhhh, I mean "apple pie"! (lol)
Thanks, Clonge! The cake would be red velvet, and I had two pieces....very small pieces....but two, nonetheless. :D I'm betting (and hoping) your holiday was extra nice
Thank you. You're in CA, right? I'm in NY. Big trip. Maybe we can meet halfway. Can you move your kitchen, say, to Kansas?
Kansas! How about we split the trip cost to bring you to California? You'll have a place to stay and we'll do touristy stuff (Yosemite, Sequoia Park, Monterey/Carmel, SF or LA or San Diego, etc.) while you are here (as long as you want to be)
Think about it............

Did you stuff the turkey with a cellphone? Sounds like a good idea. When it's ready, it can call you and tell you it's done!
