What's the best advice a teacher ever gave you?

For me, my music teacher told me that if I didn't "c" sharp, I'd "b" flat. I wound up getting an A instead of a B on my report card.

My woodwork teacher advised me to "please don't" seek out a job in carpentry when I was in High school, so I joined the Royal Navy and became an electrical mechanic, after I left the navy I made my living mostly from working with wood in the home restoration business (go figure) it must be an experience and age thing.

Romos, A lot of the carpenters in the states are in unions and make good money . My g.friend's husb sets up the auto shows. He's a unionized carpenter.

My English teacher, 11th grade, encouraged me to be creative in my writing. The OTHER English teacher had stifled my creativity at every opportunity. I've actually signed up for a college course in creative writing/poetry, starting in January!
