What do you want for Christmas?

I want a new fancy coffee pot. My husband cleaned ours with white vinegar and I think I can taste it even though it has been thoroughly flushed out. I LOVE those fancy pots and I love coffee. I haven't had a cup for TWO days.  Arrrghhh!

I am really happy with my Keurig single cup brewer. You can sometimes get a tremendous deal at Kohl's...my BFF got hers there for under $70 (regularly $125). Even the larger capacity machine is excellent.

    So happy tonight.
    Walking in a winter wonderland."

I love your snow picture. That's how I saw snow when I was a kid. There is no snow where I live now.

We may get one snow day per year in the part of Texas where I'm from, it's never very much and it melts away by the afternoon. Waking up to a snowstorm on Christmas day has been on my wish list since I was a kid. Hopefully,Scottish Santa will bring snow with him this year. (*~*)
    itsmee

Part of a song I heard long long ago: I woke up to a day like this once.

    Sounds pretty
    itsmee

I keep coming back here. Love it!
    mycatsmom

you can have all our snow from Michigan. It's a lot of work .

A job would be enough for me, I think I'll write Santa a letter, just as much chance as sending out hundreds of applications of which I have had only two replies.

    Benthere

It will be on my prayer list for you and Bump.

    Thank you Ben.

You are preaching to the choir, ROMOS. :(
    mycatsmom

in what field do you want a job,Romos ?......Carpentry ? You might have to relocate.
    ROMOS

I've been interviewed for packing shelves in a supermarket mcm, I'm possibly not qualified enough for that either.

Being overqualified can be just as much of a problem. Employers assume you will leave at the first opportunity. :(
    Bob/PKB

ROMOS, I've been in places where the attitudes and customer service are so bad, I've spoken to a manager (they SAID (s)he's the manager, anyway). After calmly explaining what wasn't done/was done, I admit to having years of experience BEING a customer, so I'm pretty sure I know what a good attitude and customer service are. THEN, I suggest that if the employee isn't up for doing the job right (and being a positive reflection on the company), I would be more than happy to do if FOR him.
    It hasn't worked yet. :)

I called a restaurant last week, to make inquiries about their menu (due to my problem with food allergies). The woman on the phone was so snotty that before I ended the call, I asked her name. She responded in the same snotty tone..."Chris! I'm the owner"! She just lost a dinner party of four. She desperately needs some telephone training.
    Bob/PKB

Ducky, the truly vindictive part of me always wants to do something "subtle" yet pointed to people like that. Perhaps you could stop by the establishment and leave a (rhymes with "camp on") for the owner.

    I need more clue. : )

This looks good to me as well, but the snow pic is pretty....I'd just prefer to stay INSIDE on that one!

I actually "live in" the snow picture. :)

The white we get here is fog! It was so foggy the night my son was born...
    How foggy was it?
It was so foggy, my (ex)husband got lost driving home!
    itsmee

Well, hmmm .... I hear tell that my dad forgot my mom's NAME when he took her to the hospital for my birth.
That devil fog, Bob ... terrible stuff. We had to drive to Hanford in deep fog one Christmas. Terrible, scary trip.

Oh yes , to sit on that beach with a long drink and a cold turkey sandwich. notice i said turkey not duck.:)

    @sunny...Thanks for your thoughtfulness! :)

If it is something under the tree for just little old me,  I would LOVE to get a top notch sewing machine that does everything and a gift certificate for a bunch of fabric & notions, plus lessons!

    ....or a motorcycle (yeah, right)

    country bumpkin

    Moderator

You should be able to make your own motorcycle with a top notch sewing machine. LOL
    Bob/PKB

    Well, then, problem solved!! :D
    itsmee

    Funny country bumpkin ...
    itsmee

I had to model a nasty greenish corderoy skirt and vest in the 9th grade. The color was bad. The style was deplorable. The material was just ... just ... yuck.
That was the end of my sewing career forever and ever. amen.

LOL Itsmee. Mine was a maroon colored skirt and I did not finish my skirt in time so I got a big red F on my Home Economics report card.
    Bob/PKB

I've never taken home ec. In 4H, we made an apron and a laundry bag (and I still have and use both 50 years+ later). Since those days, nothing has turned out too well...except the flannel nightgown!
    country bumpkin

This is really cool beans Bob. A laundry bag does not go out of style like my skirt did.
    itsmee

My skirt and vest were never in style.
    Bob/PKB

It is pretty neat! If nothing else, I store my clothes pins in it. It sure was an easy pattern, but anything fine-motor skill and patience required is difficult for me!
    itsmee

Uh, Why do you want a sewing machine? We seem like the girls least likely to yearn for a sewing machine. You could knit a motorcycle and save someone the money!
    Bob/PKB

I want to quilt and have material for placemats and pajamas. Lots to do
    itsmee

Quilting ... So much fun in the winter.

We are spending Christmas day with my niece and her family, that will be a lovely day I am sure. I don't really wish for much else just a pleasant day.And good health for the new year.

I want my runaway cat back (yes, another one)…...

    Bob/PKB

Tell me not both of them! :(
    itsmee

Julie, I'm sorry about your cat. I know how you must feel. Boo Hoo.
    jhharlan

After several phone calls today, I got my cat back! Happy, happy Thanksgiving!!!!!
    Bob/PKB

VERY glad to hear this! Bet you don't let that kitty out of your arms for hours..
    mycatsmom

not Worthless ? Don't let them out at night.
    sunnyB

More good news Julie, and I hope you are feeling better after your operation.
    itsmee

sunnyB: I don't know about the operation. Please let me know.
    sunnyB

itsmee, on you question Who do you miss most on aka, mycatsmom asked where is jhh ,I commented that she was around as she had answered another question, then country bumpkin commented that julie had an operation on her mouth, and was trying to give up smoking. I think that's how I got it,now I need a drink.

I have asked Santa for a record plyer so i can listen to my old vinyl's. ( i hope  my wife gets one.) :)

    Bob/PKB

COOL IDEA! A couple years ago, I was able to find a combo record player, AM/FM radio, cassette and CD player. The cassettes and vinyls could be transferred to CDs (which I've yet to do, lazy person that I am); best of all, the whole unit isn't too large, and is a nice looking piece that sits atop a side table. It was right around $200 USD
    bulletman

MsBob, by any chance does your unit have a Retro look?
    Bob/PKB

    Yep! Innovative Technology
    Model ITRR - 501
    Wooden Music Center
    with recordable CD player
    bulletman

Thanks MsBob, i will check it out on the net.:)
    Bob/PKB

Bon chance, mon ami! There was a toll-free number, but only for US. :(
    itsmee

I call my daughter "mon ami" I even got her some kitchen cleanser called "Bon Ami' Can you guess her name?
    Bob/PKB

Amy would be my guess it'smee!
    itsmee

Amy, it is. She's a pretty little mom.

    A juicer.

    itsmee

I ordered and now have a Nutri-Bullet aka Magic Bullet. I think I'll send it back. Read all the comments if you get that one. My main worry is getting ALL the pesticides off the vegetables. The TV add said you could only buy it from them but I went to the store Target, and there it was. Anyway ... there's a lot to learn and a lot of work. I may just make sure I have a good salad every day ... or maybe V8 juice. I haven't used it yet.
