    i have developed muscle aches all over-hands neck shoulder lower back. I take simvestatin for years. this came on all of a sudden. is there a connection?

    There could be but it seems it's rare, get a doctor to check.

    Have you done anything unusual physically, it is more likely that you have strained  muscles which are seldom used.  (ex. when I paint a ceiling, which is not a normal activity, I get this)
