In food processing plants are hard boiled eggs all de-shelled by hand, or do they have machines to that work ?

The year is 2013. I highly suspect that millions of hard boiled eggs are shelled by machine today. I think health standards would demand it.

Thats not an answer - just what you think is the case. Has any anyone got anything more enlightening to offer ? Thanks.

It's an answer, admittedly a tongue in cheek answer, but an answer just the same. YES, they use machines. Check with your teacher, s/he will tell you the same. I have to assume you are young.
