hi mate,gotta tell ya,,without the orbital systems of the planets in our solar systems,,,our universe would drift into itself//all planets and stars and moons would swing out of their orbits,,,crash into each other,,and change the gravitational pull of all plantets in the universe,,therefor destroying all life as er know it,,,,,good thing somebody designed it so that ,,that would not happen,,,,read up on it good buddy,,,,,,,,,

The Earth is not in an orbit according to the Ptolemaic or geostationary system. It is the centre of the universe and all the other heavenly bodies circulate around it. The Earth is flat and was also formed in 6 days about 6,000 years ago so go figure.

It's to provide us with day and  night........so we and the plants and animals can have some dark and quiet and cooler weather  to sleep ; and so the nocturnal animals can go out and do their hunting.

The  central universe pushed all the stuff that makes this world and solarsystem where it is so that some day we would evolve and get the idea of breaking out of our worlds present orbit and fly the planet into the central universe to visit there for a while.  The orbital path we are in is to give us time to grow-up and learn how to fly the planet on our own. We certainly have enough fuel for the trip.
