Just bought one ( Garmin) . It came without a manual.---or ANY instructions (The salesmen didn't tell me that ) Had to download it on my computer. It took 2 hours ! Now, it won't come up. My printer doesn't work anyway. Now I won't be able to go to my step-grandson's wedding in another state :-(
Do you have a GPS ? Did you have to go thru all this ? What brand is yours ? Did it come with a manual ?

I have a TomTom (Naturally).The 1st thing you will need to do is set your "Home" address".I think if you just switch it on & touch the screen the menu should come up.You will then need to scroll thru the menu to find how to do this.Don't worry about making mistakes.It's not like your computer really.You can't muck it up.

Take it back to the store. Like Tommy said, you simply follow the few easy steps and you're done. The manual just describes the features. I've had a Garmin Nuvo for about 6 years.

mycatsmom, I have a TomTom, but they are all very simular, asTommy,digger & python said ,turn it on find the menu and follow it through,you can't really damage it. put your home in first that might help . If you still can't get it to do what you want, why not do what I do ( Don't take this the wrong way) and ask someone 20years younger to help you, they are all alot more up with these things than us. hardly anything comes with a manual these days, they expect us to all to know everything about technology.
