These old movies from the 80s are on cable TV every year around Halloween. I watch them,b/c I never saw them when they were new and out in the theaters. They're so rediclous, they're fun to watch. I avert my eyes during the really gross-out scenes.My step-daughter and her husb used to watch them after the kids went to bed in the 90s. My neice's husb has a large collection of them that he garnered before he met her.

I watch them. But to me, after the first movie (Nightmare on Elm Street, Halloween, Friday the 13th, Scream, and Final Destination) the sequels sometimes get ridiculous. Nightmare on Elm Street had a good concept but there was too many sequels. After the movie run, then comes the TV show: Freddy's Nightmares. Same with Final Destination, great concept but too many sequels.
I do agree with you. They are fun to watch!
