    I'm a sports fan!

         NFL Football / NCAA

         Basketball

         Baseball

         Tennis

    Soaps:

General Hospital > I watch this show EVERYDAY!

I was sad when All My Children/One Life To Live was canceled.

    Talk Shows:

         Maury > EVERYDAY

         Dr. Phil

         The Trisha Goddard Show

         The Doctors

         Dr. Oz

I had to let go Jerry Springer. TOO wild for me!

The Steve Wilkos Show is TOO depressing. His guest should be in Prison!

    Court Shows:

         Judge Judy

         Divorce Court

         Judge Mathis

         The People's Court

I can't believe there is a Paternity Court!

PS: I record a lot of these shows (except sports) and watched later so I can skip through the commercials.

    Prime Time:

Reality Shows > Record and watch later when I have time.

         Nancy Grace > Everyday!

    SYFY Channel:

          All their world disaster movies.

Not a big TV fan then?
    LOL!
    Tommyh

OK with all of that if that's your thing.Except for Judge Judy. She's an overbearing bully.
    Ducky

@Tommy...Judge Judy gets the prize for rudest woman on television. She's offensive and I agree, a bully!
    Tommyh

Yes! For once we a agree My dear Ducky. Some "Duck" tape over her mouth would be a good idea too!
    chelleanne

She's not a bully or rude. Just don't come to her court with lies or not properly dressed. You have parents condoning their children bad behavior and she calls them on it. She catches (trap) people in lies and she lets them have it.
You have women/men buying affection and when the relationship ends, you want your money back. She's not going to feel sorry for you.

People are generally nervous in court. Even when being truthful, they sometimes begin a sentence with "um". Judge Judy intercepts with "UM, IS NOT AN ANSWER"! That is poor manners in my opinion. ALL judges are seeking the truth. Those with "power" don't need to prove it EVERY day to EVERY one, unless they are just plain bullies and bullies are always rude!
    itsmee

Ducky doesn't have a mouth. She has a bill! Easier to duck tape.
    itsmee

Ducky, I hadn't read what you wrote about Judge Judy. I agree with you, she sounds like a terrible bully. People who criticize or make fun of someone's speech are too full of themselves.I'm going to try and find that show and record it.

Survivor, American Idol, Canadian Idol, Master Chef, Nashville, Dancing with the Stars, Shark Tank, Dr. Phil

    (Wow...no wonder I can't get anything done.)

    itsmee

I've NEVER missed an American Idol. (However, I think the time is coming. I don't think it will be good without Simon) The X Factor beats it by a mile.
I always think Dr. Phil is going to be good and then it turns out that I don't like it.
    Ducky

    Moderator
You must have missed American Idol a few times itsmee. Simon left the show after the 2010 series. It has been BETTER without him!
    bustieone

Some of my favorites, also. Never seen Can. Idol, not aired here. Dancing can get switched out for me, as well as Phil..
    itsmee

No, I didn't miss any. We record them. I forgot about Simon. He's really changed. Give him a chance. He always has this big toothy smile. He hugs.
    jhharlan

Don, thank you for your opinion. Keep it to yourself, you’re being insulting and makes me wonder about you……...
    Ducky

    Moderator
@itsmee...Even if you recorded American Idol, Simon has still been gone since 2010. Not there in 2011 or 2012 or 2013. I liked him on the show and it's still BETTER without him! If he's smiling and hugging, he's been doing that on X Factor. :)
    itsmee

Don't get me wrong here but there's this song with lyrics like: "I got stoned and I missed it:" I
have been very angry with Simon but still I really like him. He sure knows his music.

I'm a TREKKIE, can watch them all the time.

Also one I've been watching lately by the BBC, Peaky Blinders.

Also any football games (Original REAL European football)

    bulletman

If you are taliking foot ball it must be Aussie rules, a real man's game , no padding, hemets or patting of bums all players look as if they are competing in Iron Man events. lol.
    ROMOS

"FOOT" ball Kent, Aussie rules use hands too, good game to watch though.
    bulletman

Romos, i am not too bias, i enjoyed watching local Football ( Soccer) when i was in Scotland, and i do follow the Socceroos.
    ROMOS

At least they qualified for the World Cup, I'll be rooting for them mate!
    bulletman

Romos, will you be watching or have you heard of the Bathurst 1000 as it is telecast to 153 countries live, it is the V8 Supercars race for 6 to 7 hour race, it makes Nascar look like a Sunday Drive, obviously in other countries it will be very early hours of the morning, worth watching if you can as starts in 30/40 minutes time, roughly midnight your time, cheers. :)
    ROMOS

    itsmee

Oh, that's right. I'm a BIG BANG THEORY girl. I've never not laughed during that show.
I was waiting for Parenthood to return. It's back and it's just not so good. It's kinda like watching my family on TV. PARENT HOOD, Inside Edition, The Office, The X Factor ... More coming.
Country Bumpkin: I'm looking at your shows to see what I might like. It seems like we kinda like the same thing.

    Tommyh

We get about 200 chanels on cable & sometimes Law & Order is the only thing to watch.:)
    jhharlan

Don, LAW AND ORDER SVU is the one to watch. Perhaps you don’t care for the lessons learned?

There are so many old ones and new that I like.  Excluding comedies, I will give you a list of some of my faves from childhood to recently.

LOL Dougal...That is Daniel not Pat.

Like Romos i am a ardent Trekkie fan, The Big Bang Theory, must be the best comedy series to come out of Nth. America, i can't stand any reality shows including those monotonous talent shows.

    Tommyh

Sadly the talent shows seem to be all about the judges."Look at me,look at me.I'm a star".
    bulletman

Tom,the judges must be from the selfish generation, will you be watching Bathust, i will be in and out watching it as my computer is in another room, how the day up there, absolute crap here, continuos rain, should'nt complain, we need it.:)
    Ducky

Well bulletman, why don't you try singing for me and I'll see if you have any talent. I watch those shows, so I KNOW talent when I hear it. Go ahead....la la lah la lah la :)

Hi Kent.Like you I will be checking in & out for Bathurst updates.Great weather up here.A bit hot.About 31 at the moment.
    bulletman

Ducky you hit the nail on the head, here in Oz a contestant on the X Factor had a fabulous voice but he was over weight, did have the right image to go any where, the song Video killed the Radio Star is so true, do you think girls would scream at One Direction if they did not fit the image or Justin Beiber, to me their singing is nothing special, just good marketing.
    Ducky

Exactly right bulletman. They often say "it's the whole package" we're looking for...pretty much like that in real life, don't you think? All things being equal, it's been proven that the better looking person will be hired!
(But please don't hate me 'cause I'm beautiful.)

    itsmee

There's a girl on X Factor currently. She's kinda cute and her wrist go the wrong way. It looks very strange and I find myself looking at her little short arms and not paying enough attention to her voice. Like bulletman said, "Video killed the radio star." Remember Susan the unattractive woman who blew them all away. She sang very good and has become famous. (I personally was not blown away)

I like some of the Alaskan shows, in moderation, the Gold shows, the State Troopers, the Buying Alaska, but only on occasion if I feel like the scenery and a no brainer show...

    Tommyh

We don't get all of them on Aussie TV.We get Ice Road Truckers on cable tho. That can be interesting.
    Ducky

    Moderator
@Tommy...We get Ice Road Truckers here in Canada too. It gives me knots in my stomach. Yikes!!!
    bustieone

And the homesteaders in Alaska, that is good too..

    I've never watched that one.

Mostly sports, Docs and HBO. The Newsroom, Boardwalk Empire, Real Time with Bill Maher are worthwhile entertainment.

As for so-called Reality shows, I'd rather watch the TV Test Pattern screen shot.

    bulletman

I'm with you Digger, reality shows are 'Rap with a big C ''
    Ducky

I'll take the TV Test Pattern screen shot too over that obnoxious Bill Maher. Ugh!
P.S. Do they still have a TV Test Pattern?

No they don't Ducky, they have reality shows instead. :)

Animal and nature programes I like, anything about cats and dogs. I'm a Celebrity get me out of here has just started again over here, I watched it last night, it was entertaining, I think I will watch it this year as there looks to be some good entertaining celebs in it this year.

    itsmee

sunnyB: What's the name of the celebrity show you watch? I am always interested in celebs.
    sunnyB

Its called I'm a celebrity get me out of here. There are about 12 celebs that are dropped off in the Australian jungle with just a few essentials, they stay in a camp with sleeping bags and a camp fire. People then vote for one or two of them every day to do something nasty to survive, like eating kagaroos testicles, withity grubs, and all soughts of foul tasting foods, then they might get put in a coffin underground , and have rats or snakes or other nasty creatures crawl over them, each time they complete gets a meal for the camp. they can refuse to do the tasks by saying I'm a celebrity get me out of here, but then the get no food, and the whole camp has to live on trice and beans for that day. It's entertaining especially when you have a good bunch of celebs as they have this year.
    itsmee

EEEEEEEK .... I don't think I could watch it. I guess I could if I kept my eyes closed. haha<--laughing at my own little joke.

Im still glued to aKaQA,Show ,Most of the time on my Laptop,Esp, the Ted and Miss Ducky shows, not to say anythink of the shows from down under,

      rissole and Iises

    itsmee

Wow! Mash! I haven't seen that in a million years. I'll try to look it up. I think you get your good visuals from watching Star Trek and maybe DOCTOR WHO. (I'm not familiar with the later. You have got to watch Big Bang Theory. It's my favorite show.

I love to watch House Hunters and Pawn Stars.

    hector5559

I think that theres to much porn around M,C,M,
    Tommyh

Pawn stars is great.Unfortunately we don't get it anymore since we changed our cable package.
    Tommyh

    @ Hector....PAWN,PAWN,PAWN! Boy o boy.Talk about a one track mind!
    itsmee

Tommyh: Have you watched Castle? My son was very interested in that one when he first landed in Australia. I tried it but it wasn't for me. Let me know what YOU think?
    Tommyh

Castle?? I see it on the programme listings but I don't think it's my cuppa tea.I'll check it out & let you know.It seems to be on cable every night.

Dr Oz, nutty Wendy  Williams (real live Enquirer Magazine} Arsenio Hall, Queen Latifa talk show.  The I.D. itsmee

Real live Enquirer Magazine. Wow! I have a friend who always passes off her old Enguirers to me. I have a stack almost as tall as I am, I don't want to throw them out for fear the neighbors will know just what I read.
    tabber

itsmee you would love Wendy Williams "hot Topics" part of the show.
Wendy is very humorous and makes me and her audience laugh. Every now and then she goes a step too far with her comments re: who should have who for a mate. Not her business, but all in all she great reporting celebrity gossip. She's great.
