In lay man terms gravity is centrifugal force force the earth spins 1000 MPH and magnetism comes from geological rock in the crust of the earth I do not know the name of the ore but they  create magnetic fields within the poles

Whovin thank you for replying, The rock is called magnetite or lodestone in it's polarized state. The magnetism produced by that form is not gravity. That type is just plain every day magnetism. When and only when a BROKEN magnetic line connects to another magnetic pole is gravity established. You must understand that the magnetic line is very small no matter how small you believe you can think that is still not small enough. An atom is gigantic compared to a magnetic line. As for the centrifugal force of the spinning Earth that merely reduces the gravitational force on an object on Earth. Thank you for taking the time to answer.

b/c magnetism  is not as specific as specific gravity .

If you can't dazzle them with brillance, dumbfound them with bs

I don't have any idea what that means. And still no one has given a single valid reason for their rejection of magnetism as the cause of gravity. I'm beginning to think that no one knows much about magnetism but that does not stop them from being sure in their ignorance that it can not be the cause of gravity. Compare the properties of the two and I will answer any of your rejections toward magnetism. Thank you for replying.

Seriously M-cat? Flipping hilarious. I can't stop laughing!

The irony is absolutely beyond the beyond.

    You have made my day!!

If I had that advice when I was going to school, I would rule the world now.

    My stomach hurts with laughter.

    Have a fantastic day :)

the internet is a wonderful thing!

Magnetism only operates on ferrous material ( contains iron) but gravity works on every type of matter.

    gravity g

nom, Your not alone thinking that magnetism only works on iron but the fact is all matter is made of protons and electrons. Protons and electrons are moving charges and all moving charges produce magnetic fields. The reason a magnet picks up iron is because the magnetic field of the electrons in the material align with the magnet force that is acting on the material, in essence creating another magnet out of the iron. Most objects do not have the electron arrangement of iron or nickel or cobalt to produce the magnetic effect but all matter is made of many magnetic fields and each field can and is effected by any magnetic field it encounters even if it is only one magnetic line it still has some effect on (all be it small) all matter. There's more to it than just this but I've got to run. perhaps another time. Gravity G

Because I have a "magnetic personality", but women just don't fall from the sky for me.

That would make them angels dahling! lol

So are you involved in sub-atomic physics gravity g?

            Mr. Grist,

In my quest to understand gravity, I learned about the smallest atom effected by gravity the hydrogen ( H-1) atom made of an electron and a proton. I realized what they had in common where magnetic fields or stored force. The magnetic field loops of the electron or proton have  short reaches. That's when I saw it. In order to reach far into space the line must be a broken or (open ended), south pole seeking magnetic line. Magnetic lines are continuously being broken and reattaching to the nearest south magnetic pole they encounter. Some magnetic gravity lines travel light years into space before connecting to another south pole and with only an infinitely small amount of force the influence is very small but none the less it is there. Gravity g.
