That's not a requirement.
It would be fun to take a speech class at a community college. Even being M.C. at a club, family, or church function counts. Teaching a small group the fundamentals of golf....
You'd be a natural.

In 4th grade, my kids had to make presentations to their classmates several times throughout the year. One time, the eldest took a bunch of "used" Christmas cards and passed them out to his classmates. Then he showed and directed them to make a lidded box with the card. It was one of the best presentations because everyone got to be involved AND they got something out of it.
You don't have to know a whole bunch about something. I was an "art docent" for years, and you could put my KNOWLEDGE of art and artists in a thimble and have room left over. There was a script to go with the displays, and, with a little more research (very little, sometimes NONE), the audience was mine for 45 minutes. I never used the scripts, but made my own notes so I could be more extemporaneous. ...miss those days.
