I have a Kawasaki air hammer (component #691316, 4500 BPR). The chisel shanks are round as is the reciever so that there is no lock-in to keep the bit from rotating. I you turn the tool the slightest, the bit swivels and you lose contact with the surface of what you are working on. Is this normal? If so, is there a cure to keep the bit straight?

The only thing holding the bit in is the spring with the hook  on it. I'm not sure why you are having problems with the bit turning when it should be in contact with what ever you are doing. By the way, what are you trying to do?
