There is no reason at all, it will not harm your dog, i have a miniture, she has what ever we have to eat (left overs) besides her own food, except spiced foods, Chicken or Beef broth quite ok, i have confirmed this with a vet years ago, he told me dogs should eat what ever we eat, of course that does not include chocolate, egg white, or cooked chicken bones as these can be fatal to a dog. PS broth is great with dry dog food as it makes it easier for a smallish dog to chew, use the broth as an additive.

There are still a lot of other foods that are posionus to dogs. Like grapes and onions
Livyloo, you are right, i just put a few, i could not list them all, another is icecream, ok with a very small amount but a lot will chill their stomaches, i had Irish Setters who managed to get into a tub of icream, they were both 'crook as Dogs.'
