I bought a used car with an illegal windshield glass tint plastic film (too dark).
How can I remove it? I tried steam, but some patches are hard to remove...
Is there a clening solution that fully removes the film from the glass?

Some suggestions here. Heat seems to be the best idea for removing the film http://www.ehow.com/how_5557701_remove-automotive-window-film.html

I tried Steam from a Wagner Unit plus Windex but the results were not good, even after using a razor blade to scrap off the glue... I am talking about the front window of a 1993 GS-300 Lexus, a 20 year old tint film...
I have seen many U-Tube clips, it seems easy, but after 2 1/2 hours of trying, it was not, and there are still 3 windows plus the rear left...
Maybe I should try pure ammonia next time...
