Instructions

Open the scanning software you use on your computer. The default program is Windows Camera and Scanner Wizard, located on the "Start" menu.

Place the document onto the scanning bed, then select "Scan." The document is imported into the computer. Select "File" and "Save." Title the file, choose a location to save it to, click the format pull-down menu and click "PDF." Select "OK" and the file is saved as a PDF.

Open Adobe Acrobat or any other PDF editing file, This allows you to go in and manipulate PDF content, including text in scanned files.

Select "File," "Open," then choose the PDF file you created with the scanner.

Click the "Text" tool option in the program. The software now detects the scanned information as text, allowing you to click inside anywhere and add additional text or delete what you don't like.
