    Evil Names

I'm writing a book atm and it has an evil creature in it: it's male and is not human (some sort of monster...)

He's controlling, emotionless, sly and manipulative, if that helps at all! :')

umm, if you could post as many male evil names as possible below, along with their meanings, then that'd be great!

    Thankyou! :D

    George????

Something to do with the medieval legend, which I didn't pursue. Will get back to you on this. I think "Diomedes" would be a good name for the villain in this book.

Georges are called Dod in Scotland, it's a gaelic translation, same as John being Ian in gaelic, go figure"
    Bob/PKB

English Name Meaning - Farmer. In medieval legend St. George: (the knight who became patron saint of England) struggled with a fire-breathing dragon symbolizing the Devil.

So, it's not the NAME that is evil, it is the DRAGON that was slewed/slewn/slewt??? that relates George to "evil".
The name shouldn't be included. I'll edit it out.

HA! I miss the original SNL cast. Did you watch it back in the day, Ducky?

Yes, I sure did...still watch it occasionally although I've always found that show to be rather odd. It can be hilarious for a while and then it gets just plain stupid...even having skits with no ending.

Yep, I don't watch it these days, quite boring.

I don't know what you would consider an "evil name" but here's a place for you to start your research. This will take you several days of work but you are the one who knows what you are looking for. Click the link and then go to right side to continue with the next letter. Good luck.

    Welcome.

Maybe Redrum That’s what one of Stephen King’s child characters repeated over and over when he rode his bike in the big haunted hotel.... redrum, redrum, redrum, redrum .... Why is it scary?  Don’t answer if you’ve seen the movie. K?

    "The Shining"....Yikes! (00)

    nondeplume~Are you joking with me?
    Have you seen “The Shining”?

If anybody is curious, just read the letters in redrum backward. Scary!
    nomdeplume

Itsmee, I do not joke, there was a horse called Red Rum; check it out on Google. In any case I have never lied to a woman in my life.
    itsmee

I trust you totally nondeplume. I’ll check just because you suggested it. Google ... Here I come.

How about 'Ned' , a pejorative word for a thick bloke in Scotland. Unfortunately my bank has recently re-named itself as Nedbank, having formerly been Fairbairn, a much better name in my opinion.

    Bob/PKB

    That's not a pleasant connection!

applebottom, Your description of the character sounds like my ex boyfriend, Gary;  or better yet, my brother's wife.

There are a few names that are usually made-up spontaneously with many variables. For example….thinking……thinking.. Most of the names I would be likely to hurl contain  profanity that is not allowed here.  Carl Werner was the most dangerous guy I ever knew. I don’t think he was human…just Dangerous…Hitler’s controller. AKA the snake in the garden of Eden. Ponchos Pilot who stole gold from the Jews to buy his position as ruler in Israel (Biblical). General Westmorland who used a nuclear weapon to kill 37 protesters that could not be rounded up and removed from a Pacific test site in violation of his orders.

"He's controlling, emotionless, sly and manipulative, if that helps at all! “……these terms relate to stealth, (cautious and surreptitious action or movement: thesilence and stealth of a hungry cat | why did you slip away by stealth like this?) Cunning…(skill in achieving one's ends by deceit: a statesman to whom cunning had come as second nature.} Your terms apply nicely to the Vampires in True Blood which is adult oddity comedy. The Vamp stories originated from hallucinations and campfire stories built-up and hyped from the prevalence of  horrible little blood-sucking insects…mosquitoes.

Is your work in the macabre...macabre |m??käbr?-?käb|adjectivedisturbing and horrifying because of involvement with or depiction of death and injury: a macabre series of murders.ORIGIN late 19th cent.: from French macabre, from Danse Macabre dance of death, from Old French, perhaps from Macabé a Maccabee, with reference to a miracle play depicting the slaughter of the Maccabees.

    Bob/PKB

    Ponchos Pilot? Pontius Pilate? ???
    robertgrist

I know my spelling on that is wrong….just couldn’t get my word finder to find the right spelling. So thanks!
    Bob/PKB

I just wasn't sure; liked your answer very much.
    nomdeplume

Pilate was a Mexican so he wore a poncho.
