Take any species and write impact of it presence and absence in the ecosystem?
The presence of the common house fly (and any other members of its species...note the correct spelling of the word "species") is annoying, disgusting, irritating, dirty, and sickening. The absence of the common house fly  (and any other members of its species) is a blissful experience.  Unfortunately, some other species rely on members of the "fly species" for nutrition, so an absence of the "fly species" could tragically affect species.  

if the flies disappear, it could affect the existence of creatures who depend on flies for sustenance.  If those creatures become extinct due to lack of flies, the creatures who depend on the creatures who depend on the flies for sustenance could be affected and, in turn, become extinct, which, of course, if you are following closely, might affect the existence of yet another creature, and so on, and so on, and so on.
