    what is healthy ageing?

    (Without looking it up), I would say healthy aging is where one continues to maintain a healthy weight and practice healthy eating and lifestyle choices. 
    We are deteriorating, of course, but excessive use of alcohol, tobacco, drugs, a sedentary lifestyle (Cripes, go for a ten minute walk a couple times a day) are going to lead to all kinds of debilitating diseases.  Overdoing exercise can lead to unfortunate consequences, too, so don't think you can run a marathon without proper training.  
    It's important, too, to get an annual physical exam (mammograms, prostrate, etc.) and complete blood workups.   
    Prevention, Discipline, Moderation, Common Sense.
