Depends on what the posted sign says but posted signs tend to be "fair warning" signs such as a no trespassing/no hunting sign. The property owner has the law on their side and the posted warning is the same as them telling a person to stay off their property. This will also cover them if a person is trespassing and gets hurt on the property.

....and the sign said anybody caught trespassing will be shot on sight.....what a song! ;D

Great song but no, we can not shoot on sight, lol (well not if our life is not in jeopardy anyway)
Dang! In Canada ... well... we do have guns and we're not supposed to protect ourselves with them but...well....stuff happens! Oy! ;D

Oh, signs, signs, everywhere there's signs
Blocking up the scenery, breaking my mind
Do this, don't do that, can't you read the sign?
Sounds like the USA today :(

I thought I saw a sign once.....but it was just a left-over hippie from the 60s looking like the second coming....bwah! ;D
Then I saw a guy carrying a "the end is near" sign and the guy behind him had a sign that said..."the end" (blink blink)
