im seeing a pain mgmnt dr who is against me taking opiates for pain! i feel this is my decision NOT HIS!! im the one suffering and been on opiates off@on for 37years i realize this is the only way i can handle pain i've tried all the drs procedures nothing works ONLY GOD CAN HEAL AND HASN'T!! im the one suffering every day,24/7 and NOW accept THE FACT THAT im denied a full enjoyable happy life and will live in HORRIFIC PAIN for life! HOW DO I OBTAIN MY MEDICAL DECISIONS BACK???

Doctors have a right to decide if they want to continue seeing a patient or not. A doctor's license and career is at stake if they continue to give barbiturates to a person that they feel is addicted to the barbiturates more than the barbiturates being actually beneficial to the health of the person. Since this doctor offered alternatives to the habituates, then this tells me he feels it's your addiction to the pills that is making you believe you need them, not the pain you may think you have. There are doctors out there who do not have such strict medical morals. Keep looking, you may find one who is willing to enable your addiction.

ha you sound like the drs! you must be pain free, CONGRATS@enjoy your life. yes chronic pain pts become medically dependent. pain meds are opiates not barbs-these are muscle relaxers! if you need more info. im here!!
