If money wouldn`t exist, always will exist something that would replace money. Sometimes i hate money even why with them you can have so many things, but i think you can never buy a true love, a true laugh, a true smile, a true happy etc. I hate people who think that can buy my love, my smile, my character with money.Nowadays you need money to live so and i, but i don`t like to have too much money but just how i need.Sometimes to much money to much problems.

No. Otherwise, all rich people would be happy and pleasant. They are not. Money can make your life a lot easier though, and in that way, can certainly help with being contented as opposed to having the daily worry about how to pay your living expenses.

Money. Lots of MONEY would make me happy. Macy’s. Perfume shops. Toy stores. Art stores. Furniture stores. A house painter. A gardener. A new beautician.... I should make a nice neat list. I sound selfish and probably should contribute to worthy causes.

No! but you can enjoy your misery in comfort.:)

Money doesn't buy happiness , but it sure makes it a lot easier to deal with your un- happiness.

The entire pharmaceutical industry and all of human kind have engaged in every conceivable activity and product that hopefully produces this desired effect. The quest for happiness has always been the all consuming passion of human kind and if it could be poured out like a salubrious beverage we would all be drunkards on the stuff.

Happiness is a choice, we choose to be happy, damp with rain, angry for what ever reason we may choose and tearful at a moments notice without pondering a reason why. The definition of happiness and all that relates to it is our choice.

Happiness is a mental or emotional state of well-being characterized by positive or pleasant emotions ranging from contentment to intense joy.[1] A variety of biological, psychological, religious, and philosophical approaches have striven to define happiness and identify its sources. Various research groups, including positive psychology, endeavor to apply the scientific method to answer questions about what "happiness" is, and how it might be attained. It is of such fundamental importance to the human condition that "life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness" were deemed to be unalienable rights by the United States Declaration of Independence. According to Wikipedia:

Philosophers and religious thinkers often define happiness in terms of living a good life, or flourishing, rather than simply as an emotion. Happiness in this sense was used to translate the Greek Eudaimonia, and is still used in virtue ethics. Happiness economics suggests that measures of public happiness should be used to supplement more traditional economic measures when evaluating the success of public policy.

    Indeed! :)

We should be happy every day, no matter what.  We are alive and get to breath and see the trees, and flowers, and cats, and dogs and squirrles & kids playing and parents doing what they do.  How fun.  However, if you can appreciate the small free things that we all get, with money it gets magnified.  Whoever and whatever you are with little money, you are that on a magnified level with lots of money.  You've heard "money is the root of all evil".  But, Money is the root of much good.  Without money all the good things that get done could not happen.  Happy money making to you!

tabber, the bible says THE LOVE of money is the root of all evilness.....not money is the root of all evil.It means the greediness of mankind is at the root of all evil.

Hi tabber, can we have the answer to the white room ?

No you cannot buy happiness with money. Happiness is inside you and you perseive it and feel it eg your little son or daughter smiles and calls you mummy or daddy, no money can buy that. Yes you can buy material things but those don't match inner happiness. Have you seen some rich people who are miserable driving their massaratti - I have. And I have seen some poor people with the happiest smile on their faces.

See happiness in the profile of the questioner - a girl playing guitar- can;t buy that with money- you can buy guitars but not the happiness.

I would like to give it a try, it would make me happy while I was spending some of it.

We can use money to buy a house, car.

I can handle wealth, but I have problems with being notably wealthy for having done X. It's as acceptable as a death sentence and avoidable like a plague. I tend to think of fawning crows and hanging on a gallows as the same thing. Robin Williams and I have the same oxymoron.
