In 1913 a lady of high society - she is known as caresse crosby-became legendary. She became so frustrated when dressing for a ball with the tightly-boned corset of her era that she dispensed with hers and with the help of a maid, tied two silkhandkerchiefs together. Thus she created the very first backless brassiere which gave support yet natural definition to the breasts. The following year allegedly having fallen on hard times sold the patent to Warner´s for $1500. They developed the concept of the bra as an item of underwear, all in one corset and marketed it in 1915 as the stepsister of the corset which reducedd in length as well as in popularity and thereby relieved us from the suffocating piece of clothing.

Se convirtió en tan frustrado cuando vestirse para una bola con el apretado corsé de carne deshuesada de su época que se imparte con el suyo y con la ayuda de una criada, dos silkhandkerchiefs juntos. Así se ha creado el primer brassiere sin respaldo que dio apoyo y a la vez natural definición a las mamas. Al año siguiente al parecer habiendo caído en tiempos difíciles vendió la patente a la Warner por 1500 dólares. Ellos desarrollaron el concepto de bra como un elemento de ropa interior, todo en un corsé y lo comercializó en 1915 como la hermanastra del corsé que reducedd de longitud así como en popularidad y, de ese modo nos alivia de la asfixiante prenda de vestir.
