Torx-head screwdriver
Phillips-head screwdriver

Instructions

Pull off the protective cover located at the base of the wiper arms with your fingers.

Pull the wiper arms up and away from the windshield until the wiper arms lock in a vertical position.

Remove the Torx-head screw with a Torx-head screwdriver. The Torx screwdriver is a star-shaped screwdriver that will fit into the Torx-head screw that holds the windshield wiper arm to the wiper linkage.

Pull the wiper arms off the wiper linkage.

Remove the Phillips-head screws holding the cowl in place under the wiper arms.

Pull the cowl off the Jeep.

Unbolt the wiper motor and linkage from the wiper arms using a socket wrench.

Unplug the wiper motor power connector.

Remove the wiper motor.

Mount the new wiper motor and secure it with the factory retaining bolts.

Reconnect the power connector. The rest of the installation is the reverse of removal.
