        And my aunt's best friend's standard airdale terrier was very smart.

        I took a personality test on the internet that showed what breed would best fit in with me and my needs, adn it said a Kerry Blue Terrier.

        They are wonderful, loyal, perceptive and bright... they are also very easy to train and the training sticks. I have known and worked with a lot of dogs in this little lifetime and the Kerry Blue is by far the smartest.
        They are also a 'one person dog' ... which is why they don't score high on the standard dog tests. They are a dog that 'Imprints' with their person. :)

            I guess I can't say that he "wears the pants in the family", although it seems like he's in charge. Does he wear a kilt?

            All I can tell you is Schnauzers are dumb. When my bro and his family had their 1st Schauzer, his friend told him that you can put the brains of 7 dogs in a Schnauzer, adn you'd still have  one dumb dog. Hahahah.  Their 2nd Schnauzer wasn't too bright either, but she was cute and cuddly and not as neurotic as their 1st one.
