Apa Ini is an importer of fine handmade objects from various parts of the world, primarily SE Asia, Eastern Europe, and Turkey. My feet have taken me to far flung geographic corners for over 25 years, searching out mysterious, intriguing, & beautiful handwork. I am drawn to the elements of beauty, elegance, practicality, whimsy, or simple rustic grace. I love ingenious/indigenous solutions, works lovingly crafted with intention and attention to details, and objects rendered tenderly, and carrying meaning beyond the first surface.
The Apa Ini Gallery has Apa Ini Sales a few times a year as well as Trunk Shows by others who share the same travel/handmade passions. The Apa Ini website constantly changes, depending on the season and who’s selling things. To get there, go through the gate to the building at the back of the garden at 1825 SE 7th Avenue; Portland, Oregon. Our mailing list is e-mail only, and sales are announced by e-mail newsletter. Feel free to contact me.
