You're in a desert, walking along when you look down and you see a tortoise. You reach down and flip the tortoise over on its back. The tortoise lays on its back, its belly baking in the hot sun, beating its legs trying to turn itself over but it can't. Not without your help. But you're not helping. Why aren't you helping?

Because you flipped it over in the first place. Don't flip over turtles and don't tip cows. It's not nice.

I wouldn't flip it over in the first place,  therefore I don't have an answer to your question.

    Whatever happened to "reptitilian courtesy"?

It's a mirage. There is no Turtle. It's all in your mind.

Why would a tortoise be in the desert? I don't think they go there.  But if they do -- I hope he bites your toes off for being mean to him!

It's the first piece of meat I've seen in a week.

Because I'm shy and haven't come out of my "shell".

Because it's my dinner and it's not quite done yet.""
