The American States of Colorado and Washington have recently legalized the use of pot. Is this the right way to go ?

I am for de-criminalization and not legalization. I have advocated for this for many, many years.

Pot was legal until 1949. My grandmother, mother and other relatives all smoked pot or drank it in tea. It was consumed widely before the people of this country choose to build a new nation here, separate from from the English monarchy. Our leaders at that time chose to export tobacco to Europe, but not marijuana because tobacco is more addictive and our leaders felt no obligation to enlighten the British with pot.
In 1949, the Ilumenata leadership sought a firm grip on the reigns of power in the US and the consumption of pot presented an undesirable complication to the minds of potential subjects who were thinking excessively from pot use, the lack of chlorine in the drinking water which dulls intelligent response and a shortage of dietary iodine which if reversed would end many thyroid problems and pacify the populous. These dietary changes were supported in the German culture before WW2 and enabled the Ilumenata to control the German leadership and people.
I favor the legalization of pot for recreational and medical use. I think it is especially useful if you are looking for a solution to a problem that has you wringing your hands in worry because with pot there is a vast lighter side to life and a lot of those serious problems need to be taken off the stove and let it rest for a while.
