    can i use corn syrup for hummingbird food

    i have 2 big bottle of corn syrup in place of sugar i make my owe food for them. can you help me i don't want to hurt my babys

    I would NEVER use corn syrip! It has additives such as vanilla in it! All bird magazines tell you 4 cups of water and 1 cup of sugar-Heat to boil-then cool and fill your feeder! I've done this for 25 years and the birds love it!

    Measure 4 cups of water and 1 cup of corn syrup.

    Bring the water to a boil.

    Slowly stir in the cup of corn syrup until in completely dissolves.
