A disaster is a disaster. You have to be prepared for the unexpected, may God be with you!!!
If you live in certain areas that don't have a lot of disasters i would say no.I lived In Misourri in 81 and you have too be prepared they don't call it tornado alley for no reason.

I don't live there anymore.I lived there 1981 for a year.I lived in a little town called Moberly near Columbia.I live in PA right on the Ohio PA line.
In some ways yes, and also no. Every situation is different and needs a different reaction. Also, it depends on the damage. If it happens during the night, keep some clothes handy! Don't forget the shoes.

@Lupe - I'm kinda prepared. God forbid, I hope whatever happens we all can bounce back!!!
I am not as prepared as much as I would want to be. First, get a book or creditable guide on what and how to be prepared in case of a natural disaster. This can save you money and valuable time in gathering which items are needed and which are a waste of money and then have a set arrangement with your family in case a disaster happens, were you are to meet and stay put until all family members arrive. Last, practice it and be sure to stay stocked up on the essentials for a minimum of 7 days for a natural disaster.
