Most people who are willing to hand their money over to someone, would want a lot of details as to why you are requesting money from complete strangers. Do you have a job? Have you looked for a job? Do you spend money wisely? Have you completed your education? Are you married? Do you have children? Do you drink, smoke, gamble, use drugs? You say "any amount". Why "any" amount? I could go on but you get the idea.
If you do go to a charity, they also want answers to these questions....and more.

You can go to Centrelink & ask for an emergency payment if you are on a Centrelink benefit like jobsearch. The amount they give you in advance will be about half of your usual fortnightly benefit. You can also contact the salvos & vinnies. They will usually give you a voucher for groceries.
